About Rock Gloves

I’ve used several different types of gloves while hiking and climbing. I’ve never found something designed specifically for the rigorous demands of mountain climbing. There are just gloves that work okay and that isn’t good enough for me!

The issues with other gloves:

➤ Were not made for Hiking or Rock Scrambling
➤ They wear out too quickly
➤ Don’t provide the dexterity needed
➤ Have horrible or no grip

My Story

I started hiking in 2014. My friend Matt suggested we hike Mt. Bierstadt, I had a horrible painful day, lol. I never thought hiking mountains would become my main passion in life. Bored, one day I decided to go on a solo hike of Grays and Torreys and I fell in love. The next summer I hiked the Decalibron and Sherman with my friend that introduced me to hiking. So, after the first two years I had hiked six mountains.

The next summer, I met a co-worker Nick at a spring BBQ, and we discussed hiking 14ers together that summer. Shortly after we met to hike Belford and Oxford and we were both hooked on hiking. I can't remember exactly, but we hiked about 20 14ers that summer. We both decided to set the goal of finishing all 58 14ers. Over the next couple years, we traveled all over the state of Colorado hiking mountains. In 2020 I was able to accomplish my goal of hiking all the 14,000 ft mountains in Colorado and Nick finished his goal in 2022.

Currently, I have hiked over 100 peaks in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. I love the adventure that comes with hiking and climbing and will continue to hike for years to come.

Happy Trails!
Ryan

“Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain.”
